The jar has a refill solution in it and it is made with 72% less material. Use the refill system as following: remove the empty pod from your refillable jar: close the lid, turn it open just a little and by holding the lid pull the pod and the jar apart. Recycle the empty pod in plastic recycling. Wipe the lid inside with a dry paper towel to make sure that it is clean. Insert the new refill pod into the jar and open the recyclable aluminium foil. Jar and lid are made out of plastic and are recyclable if facilities are available. Just separate jar and lid first. For full recyclability one can remove to the thin gasket inside the lid (using e.g. a fork) before placing the pieces in plastic recycling.
