Jar and lid are made of biobased and biodegradable Sulapac material. It's made of FSC® certified wood material which come from sidestreams, biobased and biodegradable biopolymers and natural clay minerals. After use the jar and lid are recycled in the plastic recycling, or energy or mixed waste according to the local guidelines. In most Western countries biodegradable packaging is not yet recycled in the industrial composting system but in plastic recycling, energy or mixed waste stream. Aluminum foil seal on the jar is metal and can be recycled if facilities are available. Outer box is made out of FSC® certified recyclable cardboard (FSC-N003275). Follow your local authority guidelines especially when recycling plastics.
